Re: What can I do for PhD with fellowship?
Although the subject for your graduation was microbiology, the subject for your master's was ecology and evolution. Hence, I would suggest you to appear for GATE in ecology and evolution. GATE or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an entrance examination for people who want to do either M.Tech or PhD. The GATE score that a person gets after clearance of the examination is valid for 2 years. Also, on the basis of this GATE score you are eligible for a scholarship of around Rs.12,000 per month under AICTE or UGC. Along with this you will be able to apply for PhD. in any leading university, provided you clear the interview that is set by them.
