i am a B.Tech electronic engineer ,
is it compulsory to have my total engg.
aggregate above 75% to appear in GATE examination..?...
And plz tell me the minimum qualification to
appear in GATE..Please help.

Minimum Educational Qualification required to appear in GATE Examination:

No, there is no particular percentage required to be eligible for GATE Examination. The basic educational qualification required is "Candidates must have passed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Technology" from a recognized university. Or Candidates who are currently in 4th year of B.E/ B.Tech are eligible to appear in GATE Examination. So it is not mandatory to secure 75% in B.Tech to appear in GATE Examination.

GATE 2016 Eligibility Criteria:

>> Bachelor's Degree in Technology/ Engineering/ Architecture/ Pharmacy (Post Diploma/ Post B.Sc)/ 4 year after 10+2 to be eligible. And Final year B.E/ B.Tech candidates are also eligible to apply.

>> Year of Qualification cannot be later than 2016

No, it is not mandatory to secure 75% marks in your B.Tech course to be eligible to appear in GATE examination. Candidates who have completed their Bachelor's degree course or who are appearing in final year of Bachelor's degree course are eligible to appear in GATE examination. Since, you have completed your B.Tech course from a recognised university, you are eligible to appear in GATE examination.

GATE exam doesn't require any percentage criteria for GATE exam.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department then you are eligible for GATE Exam.

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply any number of time. There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

Minimum eligibility for appearing in GATE is a degree in engineering either passed or appearing. No age limit no marks restrictions.
BUT, for interviews in PSUs or admission in IITs there is minimum marks cutoff in B.Tech level.But that is hardly 60 or 65% for most and not 75% as you fear.
If you have above 65% in B.Tech you are eligible for almost all exams for jobs or higher studies without hassle.

No, No Dear it is not compulsory to have 75% of marks in Graduation to appear for the Gate Examination. You need only 50% Marks throughout your 10th, 12th and Graduation to appear for the GATE .

No, it is not compulsory to have 75% in the B.tech to be eligible for GATE .Candidates in the final year of B.tech or passed the B.tech are eligible for it .
The examination is online based .
The examination is taken by IIT for admission in various IIT and NIT for the M.tech and jobs in PSU .
The question are generally from your stream and question of general ability and Mathematical Reasoning.
There is provision of negative marking also on each of the wrong answer.
So if you want to apply for it keep revision on your earlier topics .
