Sir I'm 19 years old & doing bsc(pcm) 2nd year. I want to join indian army as a officer. And i have no information about the post for girls in it. I want to know all about it, like from which exam what post is given, what is the salary of that post and what is the highest post for girls candidates. And what to do for getting these jobs.

You have completed graduation degree and you are interested for Indian Army so you can apply for Indian Army post through CDS exam.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Services. The CDS examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.

Educational qualification:

For Indian Military Academy: Degree of a recognized university or equivalent is required

For Air Force Academy: B.Sc with Physics and/ Or Mathematics Or Bachelor of Engineering is required

For Officer Training Academy: Degree of a recognized university or equivalent is required

For Naval Academy: B.Sc with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering is required

Age criteria:

For Indian Military Academy:- 19 to 24 years

For Officer's Training Academy:- 19 to 25 years

For Naval Academy:- 19 to 22 years

For Air Force Academy:- 19 to 23 years

The officer jobs available for girls after graduation in defense sector are as under:-

*NCC WOMEN in INDIAN ARMY

*SSC officer (Short Service Commissioned Officer) in Indian Navy .

* Logistics Branch in Indian Navy .

* Naval Architecture cadre in Indian Navy .

*Technical branch in Air Force .

*Flying Branch in Air Force .

*Doctor in Army .


The candidate needs to appear for AFCAT exam to join Technical Branch,Flying branch and Ground duty branch of Indian Air Force .

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test .

The eligibility criteria required for AFCAT exam are as under :-

Age limit :

For Technical Branch: 18 - 28 years

For Ground duty branch : 20 - 23 years

For Flying branch : 19 - 23 years .


Educational Qualification :

For Technical Branch: Bachelor of Engineering .

For Ground duty branch : Graduation in any stream .

For Flying branch :Graduation in any discipline along with 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics .

A girl candidate needs to appear for the CDSE to join different wings of Indian Defense Services .

UPSC conducts CDSE(Combined Defense Services Exam) every year for recruitment in different wings of Indian Army.

The eligibility criteria for CDS exam are as under:-

- Nationality : Indian.

- Educational Qualification:

Indian Military Academy/Officer's Training Academy-Graduation in any discipline.

Indian Naval Academy-Bachelor of Engineering.

Indian Air Force Academy-10+2 level degree with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering.

-Age limit:

Indian Military Academy- 19 years to 24 years

Indian Naval Academy-19 years to 22 years

Indian Air Force Academy-19 years to 23 years

Officer's Training Academy-19 years to 25 years

-The candidate should be physically fit as per the Physical Standards for admission to CDS exam.

-Selection Procedure:

*Written Exam

*Interview by Services Selection Board.

-Exam Pattern:

English – 100 marks

General Knowledge – 100 marks

Elementary mathematics – 100 marks
