Hello Sir,
If I get 45 marks out of 100 marks in GATE
then what will be my rank & what will be
my GATE score & percentile?
Kindly tell me about this.

It is quite difficult to state the exact percentile or score or rank which you will achieve with a score of 45 marks in GATE. This is because you have not mentioned the stream of your engineering. Since different streams have different cutoffs and competition level. so it is not possible for us to state your exact score, percentile and rank. Kindly comment below with the branch of engineering in which you had appeared for GATE and we will provide with more detailed answer. 45 marks is above cutoff fixed for all the branches. So you will definitely get a percentile and a rank in GATE.

When your result was declared you were given GATE Rank in your respective stream. So to calculate percentile, your rank and total number of candidates appeared for the exam in your stream must be known.

How to Calculate GATE Percentile:

Percentile (P) = {(N-Your Rank)/N} * 100

Where in, P = Percentile

N = Total number of candidates appeared for the exam in your stream

For Instance:

Your All India Rank (AIR) is = 100

Total Number of Candidates appeared for Exam in your stream (N) = 60,000 members

Your Percentile = {(60000-100)/60000} * 100 = 99.83333333%
