Should I wait for another project of TCS or try for other companies having working experience of a year?


Hi,
People who are working in TCS can answer this. I am currently working in TCS for the past 1 year. I did not get any technical project after my training. I was forced to take up a short term non technical project and I have got confirmation also. Now this project got over and I am released now. No project calls after that. What I must do? I should try for some other companies or I must wait till I will get next project?

This is common in IT service based company. You will be in bench-period till the time you get another project. Now since the allocation is purely business demand driven, so one may get project quickly as well as one may have to wait for six months to get a project. The best option is utilize this time since there is no work pressure. You should consider the following options.

- Enhance your educational qualification and pursue IT certifications.
- Prepare for entrance exams to pursue higher studies
- Try in different companies since switching companies will ensure higher package.
