Thumbs up Re: Should Mechanical engineer go for TCS?

TCS FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERS:

There is only 5-10% of chance to get the project or the product line which will be related to your Mechanical Engineer in TCS and rest 90-95% it's sure that you will be put in Software related job. So, if you are 100% sure that you don't know anything about software and it will be difficult to cope up learning Computers then better not to step in to the job.

If you are a person who thinks that you will learn whatever may come then you can probably go ahead. After 1-2 months of training you can just try to have a casual talk with your Manager to check if there is a possibility of job movement which will be related to your core. If that's not possible then you need to start learning more and hard work every day. Of course initially it will be difficult but if you have interest to learn then for sure you can easily come over it and set before a good career.

Try to contact your college seniors who are working in the company already from Mechanical background or some other relatives/friends who are working there to find out how it will be and what experience they have so that it would give you a clear picture of what to take up as the next step. There are several ways to find out employees working in TCS via social media's like FB, LinkedIn. Just spend some time to figure it out.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
