What is is the approximate cost for obtaining commercial pilot licence including student pilot licence and private pilot licence? I heard that it is about 20 to 25 lakhs. Is it all including SPL, PPL and CPL? Please clarify.

You need to join a reputed commercial pilot training school and fee will depend on the kind of school you have taken admission into. Cost varies from 20 to 25 lakhs in India, but there are some countries, where it is cheaper than India.

First of all you need to register for SPL and try to clear the exam to get admission in a recognized school. The minimum qualification to apply is class 12th with PCM stream.

The cost of the pilot training courses differs from one flying school to another. The cost for doing the pilot training course in the government institute is less compared to the private flying schools. Fee for the Private Pilot License (PPL) is Rs 7,00,000 in the Ahmedabad Aviation & Aeronautics Ltd.
