Sir, My son's date of birth is 23.12.2014, now I am confused where I have to put him. Please tell me what is the Age limit for LKG in 2018-19 for CBSE and ICSE Schools?

The age criteria required to join your son in LKG in CBSE or ICSE Board school is three years six months. Since, your son was born on 23-12-2014, he has attained the age of 3 years right now, so, you need to wait 6 more months to join your son in LKG in CBSE or ICSE Board school.

Let me inform you that the minimum age required to get admission in CBSE and ICSE Board school for LKS is same i.e. 3 years and 6 months. In the academic year of 2018-2019, you son will become eligible to get admission for LKG in CBSE as well as in ICSE Board school.

As per the new guidelines by RTE 2016-17,a child must be aged 3.10 years or more for enrolling into a school for LKG.
So, don't worry you can take an admission for your child in any school of your choice it might be CBSE or ICSE but make sure that you meet all the financial requirements because CBSE or ICSE schools collects higher fees compared to normal state level schools.

The age limit for admission in senior kg in CBSE board schools in minimum five years. a child born by 30-09-2014 can be eligible for the admission.

As, your child birth date is 30-06-2014, he is eligible for Sr. Kg admission 2019-2020.

Hi Mam/sir,My son is born on 29-October-2016 ,now he is going to Play group,but he should have been gone to nursery.
He will be 3.7 by 2020 may end i.e 1/June/2020.
Now we are confused that where he should be put in Nursery or LKG,If we put him in Nursery he will loose 1 year.
If we out him in LKG he will be missing the tracing and other lot of basic things as he has not done these writing patterns in play group which were suppose to be done in nursery will be missed and also I heard when a child goes to 10th exam he should be 16 years of age it true/correct.

Please suggest on this.
