What is the age criteria followed for doing LKG in ICSE board? Just want to make sure that my kid will not need to have some year gap or so. Please provide the minimum criteria details as soon as possible. Thank you!

I am very happy to say that there are no particular guidelines from ICSE board over minimum age limit for Pre-School Admission. As there is no certain age required for LKG admission in ICSE Board based school, you can join your kid in LKG. But in general, minimum 3 years are required to get admission in LKG. But remember, your kid must be in the age limit of 14-16 years by he/ she enters into 10th Class.

Student must be 3.5 years old as on 1 june in the year of admission for admission in LKG at any CBSE school.

Minimum age to study in class LKG is 4 years. ICSE has not defined any upper age limit criteria for class LKG .
ISCE has mainly defined the age limit criteria for class 10th. A student must have a minimum age of 14 years in class 10th.
So, if your kid has a 4 years of age then he is eligible to study in class LKG.

There is no speicific age criteria followed for offering admission in ICSE Board. ICSE Board has given the age criteria limit to respective state schools for offering admission in respective classes according to the age limit.

As per most of the Education Board, the minimum age required for getting admission in LKG is 3 years 6 months. So, if your kid has attained the age of 3 years 6 months, you can take admission for him in LKG in ICSE Board.

As per the rules and regulations of Government of India the minimum age required to take admission in LKG is 3 and half years where as some schools also allow the children of 3 years to take admission.

For your kind information i want to tell you that ICSE stands for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education.
There is different age criteria in different schools under the ICSE. However your son must be at least four years old for getting admission in LKG in ICSE school.

The minimum age limit to join in LKG in ICSE board is 4+ years.
The minimum age for UKG is 5+ years and 1st standard is 5 years and 8 months. For more details you may contact the school.

The age criteira to get admitted in LKG class in any ICSE school is that the ward must have attained the age of 3 years and 6 months at the time of admission, failing in which the ward will not get admission in the school.
