My son's date of birth is 11.07.2013 he has completed his LKG this April 2017
now we are shifting from local school to CBSE School is he Eligible for UKG? Can you please tell me whats the age limit follow? Awaiting to get the response soon.

Your son's age is around 4 years.He is eligible for the UKG. The age limit for admission in school for a child is around 3 years.

Criteria for UKG Admission:
==> Candidate should be more than 3 Years.

==> You should have LKG Mark sheet.

==> You should have Transfer Certificate.

==> You should have Character Certificate.

==> You should have Migration Certificate.(If any)

Age Criteria Required for getting admission in UKG in CBSE School:

There is a certain age limit that is to be followed.

>> Minimum Age Criteria for getting admission in UKG - 4.6 years

>> Minimum Age Criteria for getting admission in LKG - 3.6 years

Based on your son's date of birth, his age would be less than four years by April, 2017. So based on this criteria, I am very sorry to say that he is not eligible to get admission into UKG. Instead, I suggest you to join him in LKG with the present age and next year he may get admission in UKG in CBSE based schools. The minimum age required for getting admission in 1st class is 5.6 years and so on. Meeting the age criteria is must for getting admission in CBSE based schools.

Yet there are no rule fixed regarding age criteria for getting admission in CBSE school, it is recommended by most of the CBSE schools that your age should be 4.5 years to 5.5 years for getting admission in UKG.
As per your date of birth, you may get admission in any CBSE school.

The minimum age limit for UKG admission in CBSE School is 4 years and 6 months. Minimum age limit for LKG admission in CBSE School is 3 years and 6 months. Therefore, for UKG it is 4 years and 6 months. You need to contact the school for taking admission to UKG. Collect the application from the school, fill up the same and submit along with necessary documents.

The age limit to get admission in any school is decided by the Directorates of
respective State Government.

The age limit varies with state. So, it's better to visit school to get details for admission and eligibility criteria.

The age limit is not declared by any recognised board as by CBSE, ICSE or State Board.

The age limit for admission in UKG of CBSE schools is 4 years 6 months to 5 years 6 months. So as per the date of birth you have mentioned above he is not eligible for admission in UKG. Thanks

As far as you are concerned about eligibility of your son for his admission in UKG ( Upper Kinder Garten ) of a CBSE affiliated school being born on 11.07.2013 then I would like to let you know that he is certainly eligible as per the age criteria followed by CBSE as per the CBSE norms the age of student must not be under 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which he/she pursues his/her Class 10th which your age will satisfy when you pursue your Class 10th.

According to my knowledge any particular age limit is not required. As every school has different procedures. But approximately the minimum age for admission in school in kids section is 2.5 years. As per information you have mentioned your child is eligible for admission in UKG.

Age above 3 years is considered appropriate for admission in UKG at any school affiliated to an education board. Age limit is decided by the government of India and is same for every school.

The age limit for Upper KG admission CBSE schools may differ slightly from one to other, but generally kids who have completed their four and half years are eligible to get admission in Upper KG.

According to the date of birth you have mentioned above, your son will be of 4 years on 11.7.2017. So, there may be some difficulties to get admission. But, different schools have different age criteria, so nothing to get worried about, have patience and keep searching for schools where your son's age will be accepted.

The DOB of my Son Rachit Mandal is 25th January 2013. I was trying to admit him in Gamga International school and filled the form and submitted. The school had been taken a written examination and he got qualify for UKG. I got a call from School for the admission and after completing all the formalities, the Maam at reception told that the student is over aged and will not be consider for admission for UKG.
He is 5 years 2 months and 6 days as on 3st of March 2017. I don't want to be for Class 1. Please guide me for my sons admission in UKG at the Ganga International school. My Elder son is already in this school in Seventh Class.
