Can I become an Officer in Indian Air Force if completed 12th from Open School?


Friends,
I have completed my 12th Board exam
from an Open School with 65% marks.
Am I eligible to get an Officer post job in
Indian Air Force? Please let me know asap.

Yes, you can become Officer in Indian Air Force after 12th from open School.

To become officer in Indian Air Force you have to apply for NDA Exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year.

Eligibility criteria for Air Force :

Candidate must have passed 12th class with physics and mathematics from any recognised board.

Age limit : 16.5 years to 19 years

Nationality : Candidate must be Indian.

Marital Status and Sex : Candidate must be unmarried Male.

You have completed 12th standard so you are eligible for Indian Air Force exam through NDA exam.

Procedure for NDA exam:-

1.Written test
2.Physical test
3.Medical
4.Interview

Written test is conducted by UPSC but other 3 steps are conducted by SSB.

The candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam. Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

No, you cannot become an Officer in Indian Air Force after completion of your 12th standard from open schools. To become an officer in Indian Air Force, first you need to join in Air Force by appearing and qualifying in NDA examination. Then, you can join in Indian Air Force and by working some years in Indian Air Force, you can apply for officer job in Indian Air Force.
