Can a school debar a class 10th student from mocks and pre-board exam if he/she doesn't maintain required attendance percentage?

Is it allowed for a school to not let a student take the mocks or pre board exam even if the student has the required attendance? If yes...in what circumstances?
Also where can i find legal proof of this?

Yes, a school can debar a class 10th student from mocks and pre-board exam if he/she doesn't maintain required attendance percentage.

Rule from CBSE board :
If any candidate failed to maintain his/her attendance above 75% then he will not be allowed to sit in mocks, pre-board .
If candidate's attendance is short then the Principal may submit his name to Board provisionally.

Shortage of 15% only be condoned by the Chairman.
If attendance is less than 60%, then in such case condonation of shortage of attendance by the Chairman only medical grounds (serious diseases like cancer, AIDS, TB ).

So, visit your head of the school, he will surely help you.

Hi.............,

Let me tell you that as per the latest education norms all the named boards have stated this rule of attendance. Board requires at least 60 % attendance of a eligible student to appear in examination, thus school has also made it mandatory for every student to have a good attendance of students. There are no any mentioned circumstances where only you need to maintain attendance ,rather its a rule of a good college....
Attendance is required also because ------>
* It shows that a student is attending all lecture.
* It enhance the student when he take part at various activities.
* Student behaviour and his merit and demerit can also be determined.

Thanks

There are attendance rules in every regular school which is affiliated to CBSE or any other recognized board of education. A school has the authority to bar any students on grounds of some serious issues only.

Hence, if you haven't done anything according to you then you shouldn't be worried. If you think that something wrong is happening with you then you should contact the college principal for it.

Yes, according to the council rules you can be debarred from Mock series and Pre-board examination on the grounds that you have not maintained the minimum percentage of attendance in the following year, therefore, it is advisable to you to try and maintain the attendance percentage in order to avoid any further problems in future.
