Hi friends,
please tell me what is the eligibility for joining High school teacher.
expectially computer science subject.? Can someone please provide me the complete details for the same? Awaiting to get the answer from all of you. Thank you!

Eligibility criteria for High School Teacher:

* The candidate must have completed his/her bachelor's degree in any stream.

* He/She must have B.Ed degree.

* The candidate have secured at least 60% of marks.

* The candidate must have to pass the eligibility test.

* The applicant must have experience in teaching.

Eligibility Criteria required to become High School Teacher:

>> You must have Graduation and Passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
(Or)
>> You must have completed Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
(Or)
>> Graduation with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
(Or)
>> You must have completed Senior secondary with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education.
>> You must have good knowledge over computer related subject and must have a valid computer Training Certificate.

You must be have a B.Ed Degree and you must have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science to be eligible to become a High School Teacher in Computer Science.
You must appear for the School Service Examination to get appointment in Government Schools.
If you are looking to join Private Schools you need to send your CV to the Schools where you want to work as a Teacher.
You will be called for an Interview if your CV is accepted. This is the procedure you must follow to become a High School Teacher.

Recruitment of teachers in school for high school is carried out on the basis of common entrance exam, called Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET).

A pass in higher secondary examination with 50 % marks along with Diploma in Elementary Education is the minimum eligibility for this exam.

The exam is conducted separately for Primary stage and Elementary Stage


Eligibility for CTET:

Graduation with a minimum of 50 % marks is the minimum eligibility criterion.

Final year of candidates of the two year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Bachelor in Education are eligible to appear for the exam.

Graduates with a minimum of 45 % marks in aggregate along with bachelor’s degree in education are also eligible.

Candidates who have passed higher secondary examination with 50 % marks along with four year Bachelor in Elementary Education are also eligible.

Eligibility for High School Teacher:

TET exam stands for Teacher Eligibility Test which is necessary to join as High School Teacher.

You should have passed degree in Education(B.Ed)

Having a bachelor degree in Science or Arts Stream.

Having supervised Teaching Experience.

High School refers to the Class IX and Class X. To be a teacher in any government high school you will have clear Teacher eligibility test.

Generally TET are of two types one held by the State government for the recruitment of teachers in the State government colleges other by the central government for the recruitment teachers in the Centrally aided schools.

The educational qualification required for the same examination for the recruitment in the high schools you need to have B.Ed degree or any other teacher training course as this is important for providing the quality education. Generally for this examination there is no age limit.

Also if you do not have B.Ed degree then you can go for your recruitment in the primary schools or you can go for the same course for which you are required to have at least 50% aggregate in your graduation.

For details regrading the same examinations you can log on to their respective official link i.e; www.ctet.nic.in and your state tet link.

You need to have Graduation plus B.Ed qualification if you want to become a high school teacher. For government teaching jobs you need to qualify TET for permanent positions. There are contract based teaching jobs too available from time to time.

For computer teacher job you should have graduation in computer science and B.Ed qualification. In private schools you can get job by passing interview and salary will be based on your experience.

If you have completed graduation degree in computer science then you are eligible for High School teacher exam.

If you have completed bachelor degree from a recognized university then you are eligible for High School teacher exam.

Only Indian citizenship candidate are eligible for this exam.

Your age should be in between 20 to 40 years.

I am Moumita sadhu, M.Sc in Physics(1st class), B.ed, & with 9 year teaching experience from a high school of west bengal. Am I eligible to teach any school of Gurgoun, Delhi?

To become a primary school teacher you can appear for CTET(Central Teacher Eligibility Test) for which Intermediate in any stream is required with minimum of 50% in aggregate.
Primary or Elementary school which is generally considered from I-V comes under the government of any particular state. So, there is TET(Teacher Eligibility Test) state wise exams also being conducted to hire primary school teacher.

I listen from someone the student who will pass the b. Ed course from other university,like acharya nagarjun university, he can not apply high school teaching in odisha.
Is it true or not?

If anyone gets 46% in graduation in commerce stream,he/she can be eligible to apply for higher secondary teacher.
