What are the favourable and unfavourable factors of changing board from ICSE to CBSE for 11th standard?

Hello
My son recently passed 10th in ICSE board,
he prefers to do engineering in Gujarat.
Is it advisable to change board to CBSE for 11th & 12th?
what are pros and cons of such
chang-over of board in career perspective?

It is better to switch to CBSE as the syllabus of entrance exams are as per the CBSE syllabus and there is no compulsion to take up second language in CBSE which means more time can be devoted to core subjects.

Favourable factors :-
- English is easy.
- No compulsion to take up second language.

Unfavourable factors:-
- The standard of english is low.

Shifting to CBSE board will be better if your son wants to appear for entrance exam because most of the entrance exam are based on the CBSE board syllabus
There is no secondary language to select
The disadvantage is that the standard of English is a bit low but if you do not want to study English in Future than its okay to change your board as it is more beneficial for entrance exam

As the candidate wants to select engineering as career he will have to select science stream
It is better to switch to CBSE board
The favourable factors are
1) the syllabus if the entrance exam is same
2) language is easy
3) CBSE board is said to be a little easy than ITSELF board
Unfavourable factors
1) standard of English is low

There are more of favourable factors so it is better to select CBSE in 11 and 12 standard
