Sir, i have done 12th from NIOS. Now i want to appear for the PMT entrance examination. So i want to know whether the NIOS certificate is allowed for all india PMT entrance or not? thank you

NIOS stands for National Institute of Open Schooling and it is the recognised board.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for AIPMT examination. AIPMT examination is conducted by CBSE every year. The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed or pursuing 10+2 from recongised board.

Candidate must have PCB and English as main paper.

Candidates's age must be between 17-25 years as on December 31 of year of appearing for examination.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination. The application for examination is available online with late fee.

NIOS is a recognized qualification and if you have passed it with the required stream then surely you will be eligible for All India PMT. Most of the colleges will surely accept this qualification because it is a recognized way of getting schooling.

Just try to perform well in the entrance exam and there will be document verification where you have to show all the documents related to qualification. NIOS is accepted everywhere in India.

The full form of NIOS is National Institute of Open Schooling. The central government of India has approved this board for 10th and 10+2 board exams.

*So you need not worry about validity of 10+2 from this board. You are eligible for all state PMT, AIPMT, AIIMS entrance exams.

Other than the board criteria, you must have studies Physics, Chemistry, Biology from recognized board with at least 50% marks. Minimum age limit on 31st December of 2016 should be at least 17 years.

Last date to apply with late fees is 28th January, 2016.

NIOS stands for National School of Open Schooling and it is one of the three Central Boards of India and hence is recognized almost everywhere and so it is also applicable for one's eligibility for AIPMT.

AIPMT stands for All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Test and it is an entrance examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education once every year for admission in the government medical colleges of India for the course of MBBS and BDS.

--> Also for appearing in the same examination you must have the qualifications mentioned here under :-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 17 years to 25 years by the 31st December of that year in which you are appearing in the same examination. Upper age limit relaxation of 5 years are applicable for reserved category candidates.

* You must have completed or must be in the final year of your higher secondary school degree course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as your main subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized institute. Degree by NIOS board are also acceptable.

Actually for AIPMT one should be +2 passed from any recognised board.NIOS is also given equal status but these type of board impart distance education so that possibility of basic knowledge regarding PCB may not be proper as this possibility become adequate in case of regular schooling.Inspite of this if you work hard then you may achieve the target.

Yes, NIOS student are eligible for AIPMT exam.

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard with above 50% marks with PCBi subject are eligible for AIPMT exam. For SC/ST candidate this percentage is reduced to 40%.

Your age should be in between 17 to 26 years.

Last date of final transaction of AIPMT 2016 fee through credit card/challan/debit card (without late fee) :-January 12, 2016
