for getting admission in m.tech course, the student must be having atleast 60% marks in total in b.tech. for taking admission, you will have to give an entrance exam of GATE. if you score good marks in that exam, then only you will get a good college.

Well you question is no clear... which college you want and which category you belong to??
however for general idea ...Well you have to appear for GATE and obtain a score and percentile
depending on your percentile you will get offers
IF you want colleges like IIT,IISc you need 99%ile for general category
NIT's can be got in +90%ile category... for reservation candidates the scores will be significantly less
there are colleges in 80%ile range and further below... if you tell you category and pecentile we can suggest you some college.

it depends from course to course and branch to branch,
if you get an gate score of above 600 in civil engineering you will easily get admission in iits
but its not the case in cse and other branches were you have to score around 800 because more number of students writing the exam

M tech. requires a good percentile to get admission in IITS and NITS

if i say then 98% and more is for IITS together with that you can have admission in colleges if you have more than 95%.the institutions are:
NIT,VIT, BITS.

this score card is also valid for the other colleges too..........

hi....

for iits your percentile must range in 95-97
for nit your percentile must be about 95

for the m.tech admission you have to require above 55% of marks

hii you might get in the best vtu colleges like the RVCE,SJCE,BMS, NIE....
