Can I appear in GRE being a B.Tech 2nd year student and having IT in 12th?


Hi,
I am a student of B.Tech 2nd year. I have IT instead of Biology in my 12th. Can I give GRE in this matter? Please let me know as soon as possible.

Yes, you can appear for GRE exam being a B.Tech 2nd years student.

There are no specific eligibility criteria for GRE Test. This examination is open for all candidates who are willing to pursue higher degree in abroad.

Types of Graduate Record Examination test

1) Revised General Test
2) GRE Subject Tests

GRE exam Pattern:-

The GRE exam is conducted in three sections

Section I:-

1) Verbal Reasoning
i) Reading Comprehension
ii) Text Completion
iii) Sentence Equivalence

Section II:-

1) Quantitative Reasoning

Section III:-

1) Analytical Writing Assessment
i) Issue-Task essay
ii )Argument-Task essays

Yes, definitely you can appear in GRE examination being a B.Tech 2nd year student. There is no specific eligibility criteria required to appear in GRE examination. Anyone irrespective of age, educational qualification, etc. are eligible to appear in GRE examination. GRE is a standardised test that is an admission requirement for Graduate schools in US universities. Being a B.Tech 2nd year student, you are eligible to appear in GRE examination. But, I suggest you to appear in GRE examination in your final year because the score will be valid for a period of 5 years.
