Sir, I have scored more than 50% in my intermediate (12th). I want to pursue my further studies in Canada. I have got 6 bands not less than 5.5. Am I eligible for the study visa. Actually my maths marks are bit low. It's just 33. I've heard that the visa requires only Ielts band score. Is it true? Please reply. I would be very thankful. If you reply.

There will be no problem in getting Canada Study Visa if you have secured less marks in 12th standard. In order to get Canadian Study Visa, you must have to secure good IELTS bands (above 6 bands) in IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam.
Since, you have secured 5.5 IELTS band, you don't have much option of Universities to take admission as because only few Canadian Universities accept 5.5 IELTS bands.

Yes, admission is definitely possible, but chances will be less at reputed universities. There are some low grade universities in Canada, where admission is not a problem.

Hence, if you are looking for admission only at reputed universities, then you will have lesser chances.
