No you will not be able to study Masters in Economics after GRE as you are from the B.Tech or Technical Background.
Universities Abroad do not allow the students to change their streams.
So if you are keen to study Masters in the Technical field then you can do so after giving both the TOEFL and GRE Examination.
Changing the stream from Metallurgical to Economics will not be possible so you will need to study the Masters in Metallurgical Engineering.
This is the only option that you have if you are to study Masters from Abroad.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
