This test is conducted by GITAM University for selecting candidates for their two year M.Tech programme. This university is offering M.Tech in following subjects:

Candidates who qualified GATE will be exempted from this test.

Structure and Syllabus of GAT PGT

The test is objective in nature with three sections. Time period of this test is two hours. Questions specified for each section is mentioned below.

• Numerical Data Analysis or Quantitative Analysis-40 questions
• Reasoning and Intelligence -30 questions
• Verbal Ability-30 questions

Objective manner is preferred in this test with four choices. Suitable answer will win three marks and unsuitable one will lose one mark. Zero mark is given for not answering the question.

Syllabuses of different sections are:

Arithmetic, Geometry, Inequalities, Graphs (data interpretation), Sets, Relations, Functions, Elementary Algebra etc. include in Numerical Data Analysis or Quantitative Analysis

Reasoning and Intelligence deals with Analytical or Logical Reasoning

Verbal Proficiency in English such as Analogy, Antonyms, Reading Comprehension, sentence completion etc include in Verbal Ability.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification in B.E/B.Tech/AMIE or its equivalent with an aggregate of at least 50%

How to Apply?

Candidates who prefer to apply online should visit the website www.gitam.edu.

Candidates can apply other than online too. For that they have to collect forms from Union Bank of India or Indian Bank. From the website they will get the list of branches of these banks from which forms will be available. Authority will receive only filled application with DD. Candidate should take DD of Rs.1000/-.Relaxation will be given for female candidates. They should take DD of Rs.600/-. DD taken in the name of GITAM UNIVERSITY should be payable at Vishakapatnam. It should be payable at any scheduled bank and should be sent along with the form to the address:

How to fill the Form?

Forms filled by the applicants should be correct. Information given on the form by the candidates should be true to their knowledge. Incorrect information will make the authority to reject the application. Name should be entered in capital letters. It should be same as in degree certificate or passport. Application should be completed before sending. Otherwise it will be rejected by the authority.

Study Plan

First of all develop a positive approach towards the test. For attaining confidence to write exam a good preparation is needed. Collect as much as study materials for studying. Determine a place and time to study. The place should possess a calm environment. Try to study different topics in a day. Allocate time slot for each topic. There may be topics which need time to prepare. Try answering question papers after finishing a topic. This will help to manage time while writing the exam. Undertaking mock tests will increase the confidence to attend the exam. Give some time for relaxing from studying. This will refresh the mind, tired of studying.
