Hanumangarh District, which is located in the state of Rajasthan was carved out of the district of Sriganganagar and was formally created in the year 1994 on the 12th of July. It is the 31st district in the state and the district is bounded by the Churu District to the south, state of Punjab to the North, Sriganganagar District to the west and the state of Haryana to the east. The district is spread over an area of 9656.09 square meters and the climate of the district is extremely hot and semi-dry during summer and extremely cold during winter. The district of Hanumangarh has seven sub-division, seven tehsils and three sub-tehsils.

Colleges in Hanumangarh District:

Among several towns and cities coming under Hanumangarh district, the headquarters of the district is the town of Hanumangarh and the city of Nohar in the district is an emerging town with respect to higher education. The only government degree college of Hanumangarh District is located in the town of Nohar and before the year 2003, the government college was the only colleges in the town and in the year 2003, a private college was introduced for women to encourage their higher education. Two more colleges were also introduced and the town also has two polytechnic colleges and two industrial training institutions. However, the only government college in the district is:

As mentioned earlier, NDB Government College is the only government college in Hanumangarh District of the state of Rajasthan and the college is meant for offering higher education in the faculties of arts, science and commerce with affiliation from the Maharaja Ganga Singh University located at Bikaner. The college is known for its best quality of education in the district of Hanumangarh and it is best known for the service offered by the best faculty members. The institute is served by well-qualified teaching professionals and in addition to educational activities, students of the institute are also engaged in extra-curricular activities with a view to bring about overall development of students. The college also encourages its students to participate NSS and NCC to inculcate social responsibility among students in addition to their personal development with respect to education and interpersonal skills. The institute has so far produced many university rank holders.
