Government Engineering College Barton Hill, Trivandrum took the real shape in the month of August in the year 1999. The college was established due to the initiatives the state government took. Its now over a decade that the college is functioning properly and finds itself in the list of premiere institutes. It has the affiliation under University of Kerala.

Courses:

The institute offers engineering bachelors degree in various engineering disciplines which includes:

Admission:

The state government has taken special care of the admission procedure by developing a centralized admission procedure through which candidates are selected only on the merit basis. Admission takes place according to a candidate’s performance (rank) in the CET.

Infrastructure:

The campus is situated in the city of Thiruvananthapuram and thus is accessible from the whole of the state of Kerala. The college is equipped with all the modern facilities. The fully computerized central library houses more than 8000 books and journals on relevant topics and subjects. The whole campus is connected through Internet and everybody can access internet from within the campus. The institute also has an EDUSAT terminal. The college also has a special department imparting physical training. The institute along with the government of Kerala helps a number of students willing to come up with their own enterprises.

Placements:

The institute’s placement department is very active and makes sure that the students of the college are employed by the best companies. It has been able to achieve this in the past  and continues to surprise people with its excellent placement record.
