Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL) was established in the year 1979 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The company indirectly comes nunder the Government of India. The major objective behind the establishment of the company was to have a company which can produce Newsprint and Printing & Writing Paper using ‘bagasse’ ( which is a sugarcane residue ) as primary raw material. Over the years the company has emerged as the largest bagasse based paper mill in the world and not only in the country. Mr. Rajeev Ranjan is the present Chairman of the company while Mr. T. K. Ramachandran is on the position of Managing Director.

Job Profile:

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Paper Limited is recruiting eligible and professional candidates on the following vacant positions of Graduate Engineer Trainee, Assistant Field Officer Trainee and Assistant Officer Trainee. All the vacanices are in different departments of the company. And all interested candidates are required to follow the eligibility conditions set for the post in order to apply for it in the company.

Vacancies in the disciplines of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environment Engineering and Electrical Engineering:

1. Recruitment of Graduate Engineer Trainee:
No. of posts: Only 27 posts are available.
Age limit: Maximum age limit as on 1 October 2011 is 25 years.
Educational Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech in concerned discipline with minimum 70% marks in aggregate is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Candidates will get the consolidated amount of Rs. 14400 per month as salary in the first year while from second year onwards they will get Rs. 16200 per month.

Vacancies in the disciplines of Plantation and Forestry:

2. Recruitment of Assistant Filed Officer Trainee:
No. of posts: Only 4 posts are available.
Age limit: Maximum age limit as on 1 October 2011 is 25 years.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in concerned discipline with minimum 70% marks in aggregate is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Candidates will get the consolidated amount of Rs. 13200 per month as salary in the first year while from second year onwards they will get Rs. 15000 per month.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Officer Trainee:

Age limit: Maximum age limit as on 1 October 2011 is 25 years.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Diploma in concerned discipline with minimum 70% marks in aggregate is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Candidates will get the consolidated amount of Rs. 13200 per month as salary in the first year while from second year onwards they will get Rs. 15000 per month.
