Indian Forest Service or IFS is one of the most desired as well as prestigious post in the nation and UPSC conducts an entrance test before selecting the deserving candidates. One of the optional papers is Zoology (Paper II). This Particular paper is of great help to all those candidates who have had a Zoology paper in their degree exams.

Divisions of the paper:

IFS Zoology (Paper II) is primarily divided into two main sections or part, Part A and Part B.

Paper Pattern:

Both of the Part A and Part B offers a maximum of four main questions, the first main question in both of the section is compulsory to attempt. There are five sub-parts of this main question and candidates have to attempt any four. These four sub-questions have to be answered in about 150 words each. Out of the remaining six questions, candidates have to answer any three, with at least one question from each of the two parts. All of the remaining six questions are Long answer based question.

Markings:

The total mark of the paper is three hundred. Each of the questions carries a maximum of forty marks. Each of the five sub-parts of the compulsory first main question carries a maximum of ten marks.

Time allotted for examination:

You would need to complete the paper in maximum of two hours time.
