Indian Overseas Bank PO Exam Papers
The Indian Overseas Bank is a reputed bank of the country. The exam for the probationary officer post is held every year by the bank. The PO Examination has two stages- a written test and a personal interview. The pattern of the written test is given below:
The written test consists of two parts: an objective test of 200 marks and a descriptive test of 100 marks. The descriptive paper is for qualifying purpose and the marks that are scored in it are not for merit ranking. In the objective paper the test for English is only for qualifying purpose.
The pattern of objective test is given below:
There are 225 questions in this paper and the time allotted is 135 minutes. There are four sections in this paper. The sections are Reasoning ability (75), Quantitative aptitude (50), General Awareness (50), and English language (50).
The pattern of the descriptive test is given below:
This part consists of 5 questions which are all compulsory. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. This test aims to test the language skills, cognitive abilities, and clarity in thinking. Candidates are required to score a minimum of 40% marks to qualify.
The written test is followed by a personal interview, for the candidates who successfully clear the written test.
