Structure of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Ph.D Entrance Exam

The Ph.D entrance test conducted by the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology includes two papers. They are short-subjective and objective papers. Paper I is an sobjective one with 40 marks. Paper II is a short subjective paper of 60 marks. Each paper has again two sub parts. There are 5 questions in Part I and 35 questions in Part II of the objective paper. At the same time, Part I includes 2 questions and Part II has 8 questions in the short subjective paper. In both the papers, Part I is a mathematics section and Part II is a subject based section. The students should complete both the papers together in 2 hours.

Eligibility Criteria

The students are needed to score at least 60% marks in M.Tech Degree in the concerned branch for pursuing Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering. Those who have equivalent CGPA can also appear for the Ph.D entrance exam.

How to Apply?

Those who want to apply for the entrance exam must login to the official website of the institute and download the application form. Then fill the form following the rules mentioned in the brochure. After completing the form, take a hardcopy of the same and send to the address given below:

The students are required to take a DD of Rs. 500/- and send it along with the form. The DD must be payable at New Delhi and should be taken in favor of the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology.

How to fill the Form?

The applicants can find the instructions to fill the form in the information booklet. Read them thoroughly before start filling the form. Furnish the columns with exact details. The name and date of birth should be in the same format as in the original document. All the columns have to be filled. The address should be entered in detail including with Pin Code. Before submitting the form, the students must check the signatures once more. The application forms without having the applicant’s signature will be get rejected. The duly filled form must be enclosed with the required documents and DD.
