Bachelors in International Hospitality Management (BIHBM) programme is offered by Ashok Institute of Hospitality Business management. It is a four years degree programme in Hotel Management. Ashok Institute of Hospitality Management have an association with Indian Tourism Development Corporation Limited. An entrance test is conducted by Kurukshethra University and ITDC for the selection of eligible candidates for their Bachelors in International Hospitality Management (BIHBM) programme.
Ashok Institute of Hospitality Business Management is a most reputed institute in India for the courses of Hospitality and Tourism Management. As a reputed institute large number of candidates in every part of India will be applying for the Ashok hospitality Entrance Test.
Structure of Ashok Hospitality Entrance Test
The admission of the course mainly depends upon the written entrance test conducted by Kurukshethra University. The question paper consists of 180 objective type questions and each question carries one mark. The time duration of the test is three hours. The test includes four sections. No marks are deducted for the wrong answers. This test is mainly for evaluating the candidates’ basic skills in reasoning, numerical ability, general awareness and English vocabulary. Those who clear the written test with good score will be called for the counseling session held in the University. The admit card will be sent to the eligible candidates.
Syllabus for Ashok Hospitality Entrance Test
The selection of the candidate is based on their score obtained in the written test. Four sections of 180 questions are included in the question paper and the standard of the questions is of plus two level. The students have to attend all the 180 questions. Each question will be provided with four options and the candidates have to choose the right answer of the question. The topics included in the question papers are discussed below.

Reasoning (45 marks) – 45 questions
Section 2
English Vocabulary & Comprehension (45 marks) – 45 questions
Section 3
General Awareness (45 marks) – 45 questions
Section 4
Numerical Ability (45 marks) – 45 questions
Eligibility Criteria
The basic requirement for joining the Bachelors in International Hospitality Management (BIHBM) programme is a pass the Higher Secondary Exam with 50% with English as a subject from Board of Education, Haryana. The final year plus two students can also apply for the exam. But they have to fulfil the educational requirement before the counselling session. The candidate should have at least 17years of age at the time of admission. The candidate should also possess mental as well as physical health.
How to Apply?
The candidates can obtain the application form from the Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management and from the Kurukshethra University counter by paying Rs.500/-. The candidates can also use the downloaded application form from the University website www.kukinfo.com and also from the ITDC website www.itdc.org. The candidates can send a requisition letter with a Demand Draft of Rs.550/- to the University office for getting the application form through post. The candidates should put their signature at the backside of the Demand Draft.
How to fill the Form?
The candidates should study the Information Brochure before filling the application form. The form should be filled with candidates’ own handwriting. All the details mentioned in the application form should be correct. No any columns should be left blank. No any documents should be attached with the application form. Two self addressed envelopes should be sent along with the application form. The candidates’ attested passport size photographs should be pasted in the relevant column. The completely filled application form should be sent before the due date. Otherwise the application form should be rejected.

Study Plan
The students have to prepare well for the entrance test. Collect the previous year question papers and it will help the students to know about the question pattern and time needed for completing the test. The syllabus of the exam is also available in the website. The students should plan their study according to the available time. Identify the topic which is difficult for them and give more time for studying that topic. Different coaching centers are there for helping the students. Students can make use of all these facilities and can win the exam.
How and Where To Get the Results?
The result of the written entrance exam will be published in the website www.itdc.org and also on www.kuk.edu.tripod.com. The exam result will be sent to the candidates by the University.
Score Validity
The exam score is valid for one year. The exam is conducted on each year for the selection of candidates for the course of Bachelors in International Hospitality Management (BIHBM) programme. A candidate who attends the test is only eligible for joining the course for that year.
