The Lucknow University is a reputed university which is recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC). This university offers different programs at graduate, post graduate or diploma level programs in different subject areas. LUCSAT – mainly stands for the Lucknow University Computer Admission Test. This is an admission test which is mainly conducted with an objective to select candidates for the post graduate level programs in the specific subject area of computer science in the Lucknow University.

Structure of the Lucknow University Computer Science Admission Test – LUCSAT

The structure of the Lucknow University Computer Science Admission Test – LUCSAT will mainly include the objective type questions. There will be a total of 100 questions which are involved in the test.  The entire exam is divided mainly in to two main sections. The first part will include around 40 Questions. This will mainly involve questions from the following subject areas –

  • Logical reasoning
  • Numerical Aptitude
  • English

The second part will mainly include questions which will mainly cover the B.Sc (Computer Science) or BCA subject area. There will not be any negative marking involved in this exam. The total duration of the exam will be for about one and a half hours. There will not be any mark deduction for the questions which are left unanswered.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility criterion for attending the Lucknow University Computer Science Admission Test – LUCSAT is a graduation degree. The candidate should have completed the B.Sc degree in any of the following subject area such as –

  • Computer Science
  • Computer Application
  • Information Technology

Apart from this, those who have completed the BCA degree are also fully eligible to attend this test. Also important is that the candidates should have secured at least 45% of marks in the graduation level. There is relaxation in case of the marks in case of the reserved categories for around 5%. The candidates who are applying should have studied mathematics as a subject in the 12th class level.

How to apply?

The candidates can apply for this exam by both online and offline method. Regarding the online applications, this can be downloaded from the official website of the Lucknow University. The candidates can also get the application forms directly from the office of the concerned university. The candidates can also purchase the application forms via post also. The candidates should pay Rs 500 as the application fees. In case of the SC/ST candidates the application amount is Rs.250.  The application forms can be obtained through post only by sending a Demand draft as well as the letter of request for the application form. The candidates should make sure that they attach all the important documents with the application forms. The candidates should also foresee that they write their name and address in the back side of the demand draft. The candidates should send the application forms to the Finance Officer, University of Lucknow, Lucknow. The application forms should be sent by registered or speed post only.

How to fill the form?

The candidates should go through the application forms in detail before filling it. The candidates should fill in only the correct information with out making any mistakes. The candidates should fill in the forms in legible handwriting. While entering the details regarding the Demand Draft number and all the candidates should be very careful. The candidates can refer the application brochure in case any doubts arise while filling the application forms.
