Eligibility and Admission Process for M.Tech (Product Design and Development)
Engineering graduation in mechanical engineering or equivalent is the basic qualification required. Admission is usually done on the basis of GATE score. Eligibility requirements may vary slightly with University/institute. IIT Guwahati offers admission to GATE qualified candidates with a minimum of 60% marks in any of the following subjects.
- Automobile Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Production Engineering
Allotment of students in Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology is done through the centralized counseling process for M.Tech. GATE qualified candidates are given with admission on the priority basis of marks. Candidate’s choice of institute for admission is also considered during the counseling process. Similar procedure is followed for admission in National Institute of Technology, Warangal. Students must submit the original marks certificates of the qualifying examination and GATE score card at the time of counseling. Selected students should pay their admission/first semester fee at the time of joining. Admission rules may vary slightly with institute and such details can be collected from the website of the concerned institute.
