Educational Qualification required for the position of receptionist:

Most of the government organizations require that candidates must be graduates in any discipline from a reputed university/institution and they should possess good personality and communication skills with the capability of handling mails, phone calls, etc… Candidates should also possess working knowledge of computers.

Should candidates possess any experience to apply for the post of Receptionist?

This depends on the government organization for which the candidate is applying. Some organizations recruit fresh graduates for this position, while some organization require that candidates should possess some years of experience of working as a receptionist/front office assistant in any private organizations.
