Central University of Himachal Pradesh was established on March 20, 2009 under the Government of India. Dr. Furqan Qamar is the Vice Chancellor of the university. The university is located at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. It has an urban camppus and the university is afiiliated to UGC. The university actually came into existence as a result of the Government’s policy to established Central Univerties in each of the states that do not already have a central university. The university was established under the Central Universitites Act, 20009 (no. 25 of 2009) of the Indian Parliament.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited in the prescribed performa for the following faculty positions of Professor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in Central University of Himachal Pradesh. Posts of the specified faculty position is available in the various disciplines on regular basis.

1. Recruitment of Professor:
Posts Available: Only 10 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: The minimum qualification required for the post is Ph.D. degree in concerned discipline with atleast 10 years of experience in research or teaching field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
Posts Available: Only 20 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: The minimum qualification required for the post is Ph.D. degree in concerned discipline with atleast 8 years of experience in research or teaching field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
Posts Available: Only 48 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: The minimum qualification required for the post is Master’s degree in concerned discipline. Candidates should also have passed the UGC NET examination.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

Application Fee:

Candidates (only General and OBC categories candidates) are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 500 only. Rs. 125 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by SC/ST/PH categories. Candidates are required to submit this application fee through the means of a Bank Draft. The bank draft is need to be drawn in favour of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh payable at Dharamshala.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the above specified faculty positions is comprises of the two different stages:

i. Competitive Written Examination.
ii. Personal Interview Test.
