The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) established under the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 to provide avenues of education primarily to the tribal population of India. The university also aims to disseminate and advance knowledge by offering instructional and research facilities in tribal art, language, medicinal systems, tradition, culture, customs, flora, fauna, and forest based economic activities, and technologies related to the natural resources of the tribal areas.

Job Profile:

Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) invites application from eligible NRI/PIOs candidates for the posts of Professors and Associate Professors in various departments.

No. of posts: Professors – 10; Associate Professors - 18

Pay Scale – Sixth pay Commission Pay Scale as per the UGC Norms. For details of salary for each post refer the University’s website.

Eligibility:

Educational qualification and experience – The candidates must have specific educational qualification relevant to the following departments as per the latest UGC Guidelines. For details refer the UGC website www.ugc.ac.in. The various departments are Economics, History, Political Science & Human Rights, Sociology, Social Anthropology, Tribal Art, Musicology, English & Foreign Language, Hindi, Bio-Technology, Zoology, Environmental Science, Commerce, Business Management, Geography, Rural Development,  Tourism Management, computer Science, Applied Psychology, M.S.W, Preparatory faculty (Science).
