Defence Research and Development Organisation was formed in the year 1958 as an agency of the Republic of India. The organisation is mainly responsible for the development of technology that is used for the military. The headquarter of the organisation is located at DRDO Bhavan, New Delhi. There are approximately 30 thousand emplyees working in the organisation among which 7000 emplyees are on scientist position. Dr. V. K. Saraswat is the Director General of the organisation. The organisation has a network of 52 laboratories.

Job Profile:

Defence Research and Development Organisation invites applications from the eligible candidates for filling up the following vacant positions of Scientist in different grade. All selected candidates will be posted in Recruitment and Assesment Centre, DRDO.

1. Recruitment of Scientist H:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 54 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Science in the relevant subject with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from recognized university is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 67000-79000 per month.

2. Recruitment of Scientist E:
No. of posts: Only 10 posts are available.
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 45 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Science in the relevant subject with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from recognized university is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.

3. Recruitment of Scientist D:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 45 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Science in the relevant subject with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from recognized university is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

4. Recruitment of Scientist C:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Science in the relevant subject with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from recognized university is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

Application Fee:

A Demand Draft of Rs. 50 is need to be submitted as the application fee by interested candidates (only General and OBC categories candidates). The demand draft should be drawn in favour of Director, Recruitment and Assesment Centre payable at Delhi. The payment of this application fee is must before applying for the post. No fee is to be paid by SC/ST/PH candidates.
