Company profile: It is one of the major centres of ISRO. The major functional areas of its work are research and development, Utilization of space infrastructure for SATCOM applications like navigation, broadcasting etc. It also designs transponders for satellite systems. It can be called as the king of space research.

Job profile: The candidates are required to carry out research in various departments. They may also be required to design various systems that are used in space research.
They will be working on areas like geology, remote sensing, photonics etc.

Eligibility: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
The age limit for the post of Scientist – ‘SC’ is 35 years which is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
There is no age limit for Scientist – ‘SD’.

Educational Qualification and posts: The candidates must posses a first class degree in any one of the following qualifications for Scientist/Engineer-‘SC’:-

Post 1 - M.Sc. /M.Sc. (tech)/M.Tech in Geophysics or Applied Geophysics.
Post 2 - M.Sc. /M.Sc. (tech)/M.Tech in Geology or Applied Geology.
Post 3 - M.Tech in Geo-Informatics/ Remote sensing & GIS.
Post 4 - M.Tech in optics
Post 5 - M.Tech in physical engineering, semi-conductor or opto-electronics.
Post 6 - M.E in electrical/microwave engineering.
Post 7 - M.Tech in integrated circuit technology/solid state tech/micro fabrication/microelectronics.
The essential education for Scientist/Engineer – ‘D’ is:-
Post 8 - Ph.D. in physics/ Applied physics/ Math.
Post 9 - Ph.D. in ecology/ botany/ coastal ecosystem/ Environmental sciences or M.Sc. in ecology/ botany/ coastal ecosystem/ Environmental sciences plus 4 years experience.
Post 10 - Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences or M.Sc plus 4 years experience.
Post 11 - Ph.D. in optics.
Post 12 – Ph.D. in semiconductor devices/ photonics/ etc.

Pay Scale: The pay scale for SCIENTIST/Engineer – ‘SC’ is Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade pay Rs. 5400 per month.
The pay scale for SCIENTIST/Engineer – ‘SD’ is Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade pay Rs. 6600 per month.
