Staff Selection Commission Stenographer Grade C exam is a Combined All India open Examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of eligible candidates for the post of Stenographers in various offices under Central Government. The exam conducted by SSC is a very tough examination and it expects high competition. Numerous candidates are applying for the test and it gives a chance for large number of candidates to get a Central Government Job.
Structure of Staff Selection Commission Stenographer Grade C exam
The Staff Selection Commission Stenographer Grade C Exam is a written exam consists of two parts of questions. The first paper is an objective type written test in English and Hindi. The time allotted for the exam is two hours. The marks awarded for the exam is two hundred. The test includes questions from the general knowledge and English language ability test. The second part of the exam is to evaluate the candidates Stenography skill. The test is to evaluate the typing speed of the candidate in English or Hindi Language. The mark for this test is also two hundred. Those who pass these two tests will be selected for the post of Stenographer.
Syllabus for Staff Selection Commission Stenographer Grade C exam
The questions for the First paper of the test will be from the matriculation class. The syllabus for the written exam is listed below.

Section1: General Awareness (100 Marks)

Section 2: Comprehension and Writing Ability of English Language (100 marks)

PART B: Short Hand Test (200 Marks)
Dictation Test at 100 words per minutes for 10 minutes will transcribe in 50 minutes on the Computer.
Eligibility Criteria
The basic requirement for the candidates to apply for the test is to complete the matriculation exam and Plus two exam from a recognized Board. The age limit of the candidates must be between 18 and 27 years. The age relaxation is provided for the SC/ST candidates and other reserved category candidates. The candidates should have good typing skills get more preference.
How to Apply?
The exam notification will be released in almost all leading news papers of our country. The application format is also included in it. The candidates can prepare the application form in hand written form or in a typed format. The completed form should be send to the Staff Selection Commission with a Central Recruitment Fee Stamps available from any Post Offices. The SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates and the female candidates are exempted from the payment of exam.
How to fill the Form?
All the instructions for filling the application form are mentioned in the exam notification. The application form must be in the format suggested by SSC. The form must be in a written format or in a typed form. A recent photograph of the candidate in the prescribed size must be affixed in application form. The data entered in the form should be using a black pen by the candidate himself. Three copies of the photograph should be send with the application form.The applicants must send the Central recruitment Fee Stamp with the form. The filled form should be reached before the last date.
