Uttarakhand Health and Family Welfare Society was estbalished under the Government of Uttarakhand, Government of India. The society is mainly responsible for implementing school health programmes in all the thirteen districts of the state. The society is all in all a responsible body for keeping an eye on the health of the people of the state and also to provide health facilities to them. The society also acts as a teaching body, for educating and informing the people residing in the state of Uttarakhand. The society has achieved a dignified status in the recent times.
