UPTU 2011 SEE Engineering
Uttar Pradesh Technical University State Entrance Examination (UPTU SEE) is an entrance examination for admission in to a number of technical courses like engineering, management, fashion & design, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management, Computer Applications in private unaided/government aided colleges in Uttar Pradesh affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University. UPTU was established in the year 2000 by government of Uttar Pradesh and is one of the largest technical universities in India. There are separate entrance examinations for different fields. For B.Tech there is a common entrance exam consisting of questions from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
For admission in various professional courses in private unaided / government colleges candidates are selected on the basis of this state level exam. There is plenty of management, pharmacy, architecture and engineering colleges available in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates have to qualify this exam and have to sit for a counseling program. These colleges provide well equipped campuses which accommodates up to date library, labs and well furnished class rooms for students. The institutes also provide internet connections throughout the campus. The institute provides transportation facility to its students and also gives residential facility to them.
Popularity of this Exam:
A large number of students from across the state of Uttar Pradesh appear for UPTU SEE Engineering entrance every year for admission in to number of engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh and the competition is quite tough. As the seats are fixed for each course, students have to work hard to get their desired course. The students have to secure high marks in the Uttar Pradesh Technical University State Entrance Exam and have to sit for a counseling program.
Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate should have cleared class 12th exams with Physics and Mathematics and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science or Biology.
Application Forms for UPTU SEE:
The forms for UPTU SEE will be available from all Head Post Offices of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Nainital and Dehradun. The form can also be obtained by post from UPTU by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.
Important Dates (Tentative):
• Availability of Application Form: third week of February to second week of March, 2011
• Last Date for request of form by post: fourth week of February, 2011
• Last Date of Submission of completed application form: third week of March, 2011
• Date of UPTU Examination: 3rd week of April, 2011
Pattern of Examination:
There will be 2 papers for B.Tech entrance:
Paper 1: Physics & Chemistry-150 minutes & 75 questions each from Physics & Chemistry
Paper 2: Mathematics-90 minutes & 90 questions
There will be no negative marking.
