As most of us know, Trivandrum is one of the major cities in the state of Kerala and it is the capital city of the state as well. Ownership of engineering institutions in Trivandrum:

The engineering institutions functioning from the city of Trivandrum includes three government colleges and these colleges are functioning effectively under the control of Government of Kerala. Most of the engineering colleges in Trivandrum are affiliated to the Cochin University of Science & Technology and some of the engineering colleges in Trivandrum were established even before the establishment of CUSAT. Before the establishment of this university, the colleges were functioning under either the Kerala University of Cochin University.

Engineering admission in Trivandrum:

Admission to the engineering colleges in Trivandrum is offered to candidates with higher secondary qualification in science stream or its equivalent qualification from a recognized board or university. Admissions to these engineering colleges are done based on the merit secured by candidates in the Common Entrance Test  conducted for engineering admission in the state of Kerala and even engineering institution take AIEEE score into consideration for admission of students.
