National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) organizes entrance test every year for screening the most eligible candidates to the Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course. The entrance test is mainly conducted to analyze the candidates’ basic knowledge in the core subject areas viz., physics, chemistry and biology. Those clearing the test will be admitted to the 5 ½ years duration BAMS programme.

Structure of National Institute of Ayurveda BAMS Entrance Test

The entrance exam for the BAMS course will be of objective type pattern. A total of 80 questions will be there which has to be completed within 90 minutes. Each correct answer will be allotted 1 mark and ¼ marks will be reduced as a penalty for the incorrect ones. The aspirants ought to attend utmost number of questions correctly within the very limited time given.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates those who have passed 10+2 examination from Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education or equivalent are eligible to apply for the exam. The candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects in the 10+2 level and must also possess at least 50% average marks in these subjects.  Those in the 12th standard are also eligible to apply provided they suit the eligibility criteria at the time of counseling.

How to Apply?

The candidates can obtain the application form along with information brochure from various concerned branches of Bank of Rajasthan by fee payment of Rs. 900/- (Rs. 450/- in case of SC & ST candidates). Application form can also be downloaded from the official website for which the fee payment has to be done through demand draft. The DD have to be drawn in favor of ‘The Registrar’, Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur.

Completed form must reach the Registrar of Rajasthan Ayurved University located in Jodhpur. It should be sent only through speed post or registered post before the due date.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates have to fill the application form very watchfully. No errors have to be committed while filling. All the information furnished should be correct. All the relevant information regarding filling the form is clearly mentioned in the information brochure. The applicants should read it so as to minimize the error.
