National Institute of Ayurveda is an institution located in Rajasthan solely dedicated for spreading authentic Ayurvedic education to the eager aspirants. Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S) is one of the undergraduate courses offered by this institution. Its affiliating university, the Rajasthan Ayurved University conducts BAMS Entrance exam for the admission of candidates to this course. If the candidates are interested to appear for this test, then they should fulfill certain eligibility criteria specified by this university.

Qualifying Examination for National Institute of Ayurveda BAMS Entrance Exam

The candidates who are applying for the BAMS Entrance Exam conducted by the Rajasthan Ayurved University should have completed their higher secondary course with Biology as compulsory subject. The course should be recognized by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education or any authority equivalent to it. This examination is considered as the qualifying examination for this entrance test. The candidates should not only pass the concerned qualifying examination but also possess the required marks during the exam. Minimum of 50% marks is required while taking the average marks of Physics, Chemistry and Biology during the qualifying examination.

Age Qualification for National Institute of Ayurveda BAMS Entrance Exam

Age limitation is specified for the candidates who want to appear this BAMS entrance test. They are required to possess minimum 17 years of age before the commencement of the entrance test. Aspirants below 17years of age will not be considered as eligible for the admission.

Who can apply for National Institute of Ayurveda BAMS Entrance Exam?

  • Those who are applying for this entrance test should be Indian citizens. If the candidates are Rajasthan residents, then they fulfill any of the criteria given below to become eligible for the admission.
  • The candidates should have studied in a recognized institution in Rajasthan during the three years continuously before the qualifying examination.
  • The candidates are required to pursue their studies for a period of 5 years in Rajasthan if their parents are the residents of Rajasthan for a period of 10 years. The concerned course should be completed from a recognized institution
  • The candidates should be the child of the retired employee in any institution under Government of Rajasthan

Those who are the bonafide residents of Rajasthan can also apply for this test in case they submit their bonafide certificate signed by District Magistrate. Reservation will be given for the applicants belonging to SC, ST, OBC or PH category as per the rule of the state government. Those who are the dependents of defense personnel or reside in the tribal areas of Rajasthan can also claim reservation as per the specification.
