Bachelor of computer application is one of the popular courses in India. It is a three year degree course with six semesters covering the basics of computer application. Generally, the course covers topics such as software programming and applications like application of the operating systems, C-programming, Java and SQL. Eligibility criterion for BCA Course

Candidates seeking admission for BCA course should have passed their higher secondary in Science or Commerce stream with English. They are required to secure a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.  They should have studied Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Maths as an optional subject. Apart from this, some institutions conduct their own entrance test for the admission process. Candidates who have three years polytechnic diploma in computer application are also eligible for admission through lateral entry.

Fee Structure for BCA Course

The fee structure for the Bachelor of Computer Application course is made affordable for all students. It varies depending on the colleges or universities offering it. Government institutes charge lower course fees compared to the private colleges. Usually the fee structure for the BCA course in most of the universities and institutions are as follows.

For First Year

  • Tuition Fees: Rs. 29500/-
  • Lab Fee: Rs. 13550/-
  • Other Fee (Annual): Rs. 6100/-
  • Other Fee (One Time): Rs. 800/-
  • Caution Deposit: Rs. 5000/-
  • Total Fee: Rs. 54950/-

Second Year Onwards

  • Tuition Fee: Rs. 29500/-
  • Lab Fee: Rs. 13550/-
  • Other Fee (Annual):  Rs.6100/-
  • Total Fee: Rs. 49150/-

The total fee for the course is Rs. 104400/-. Candidates are required to pay the fees in instalments in the beginning of each semester.  In addition to this, there will be an additional fee for candidates who are using the hostel facilities of the institution. The room rent and mess fee are to be paid monthly. Some of the institutes provide scholarship facility for students having good academic performance. Candidates who belong to reserved category can avail the fees relaxation in government and private institutes as per the norms of government of India. The above mentioned fees structure is indicative in nature and will change according to the institute.
