Microland is one among the prominent IT infrastructure companies based in Bangalore. They often conduct on campus/ off campus selections for recruiting candidates to technical job profiles. Fresh engineers or MCA holders with a minimum of 50% marks from 10th till graduation can participate in the selection process. Selection of eligible candidates is done through written test, group discussion, and interview. Aptitude and verbal ability questions will be asked for the written exam.

Eligibility Criteria for Campus Selection in Microland

Fresh engineering graduates are eligible for campus placement in Microland. MCA graduates are also eligible to apply. Eligible candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks from 10th till graduation. They must be free of backlogs till 7th semester (in case campus selection is conducted for final semester students). Other than educational qualifications, candidates need to have certain other qualifications also. They must have good communication and basic computer skills. Candidates are also evaluated for problem solving and logical thinking.

Campus Selection Procedure for Microland

Selection of candidates in Microland is made through a four stage process. Main stages of selection include the following.

  • Written test
  • Group Discussion
  • Technical Interview
  • HR Interview

Written test include a total of 30 questions which need to be completed within 30 minutes. Verbal Ability and aptitude based questions will be asked for the written test. Each section carries 15 marks. In verbal ability, candidate can expect questions from topics like synonyms, antonyms, coding-decoding, seating arrangement, and odd one out. Average, number systems, ratio, percentages, simple interest, clock, train, etc are some of the topics asked for the aptitude section.

Those who clear the written exam will be considered for the session of Group discussion. Grammar and language fluency of the student is basically evaluated in this section. They are also checked for communication skills, leadership qualities, critical thinking, and attitude. Candidates having cleared with the GD section have to attempt technical and HR interview section to confirm their selection to the company. In HR interview, candidate can expect questions related to the family background, his or her hobbies and so on. Knowledge in technical aspects, basic programming skills, etc is also measured in technical interview session.

Microland often conducts on campus or off campus selections for recruitment. Selected candidates are offered with offer letter that indicates the date of joining. This contains all conditions of employment including probation, salary, and additional perks. Candidates need to sign a service bond of two and half years, if necessary.
