Law education in the state of kerala began when the Bar Council of India brought the National University of Advanced Legal Studies in the year 2002. Even though, there were law colleges even in the early years of the state of Kerala and the establishment of this university, has brought about great development in the legal education field in the state. Kerala already being a state with the highest literacy rate in the nation is the home for many educational institutions and this is no exception to the college in the field of law in the state.

Admission to Law College in Kerala:

Law College in the state of Kerala offer UG, PG and even diploma courses in law and admission is offered to the UG course in law to candidates with degree in any discipline and for PG course in law for candidates with a UG degree in law. Admission of students to the UG course in law is done by almost all the colleges based on the CLAT score secured by candidates. With the heavy competition to score good marks in CLAT Examination among the students, many private institutions in the state offer coaching to the CLAT examination to aspiring candidates. Even there is state-wide entrance examination for Law admission in the state of Kerala and along with CLAT examination, the coaching institutes offer coaching to the state-wide examination as well to aspiring candidates in such a way that they can get into their dream course of law.
