Dravidian University 2011 Ph.D
Dravidian University conducts an admission process for admission to its various PhD. Programmes. Dravidian University was formed through an initiative of Andhra Pradesh Government along with the cooperation of Government of other Southern states which include Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. The primary objective of the University was to unite the major Dravidian languages speaking population in the south from different states.
The University has been established with the motive of providing an elite class of education to candidates who belong to the Dravidian section. The University has retained a respectful position in the South and is always considered as the first choice by most of the candidates during admission. The Entrance Test conducted by the University is held in different cities across the nation.
Dravidian University was established in 1997 through an act of legislature and has been granted permission by UGC to conduct several Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Programmes. For admission to PhD/M.Phil programmes of Dravidian university candidates have to apply through an application form. Candidates are selected in these programmes through an entrance test and interview conducted at the university. On Campus stay is compulsory for students. The University primarily aims at developing a ambiance in which these Dravidian based Candidates can excel and obtain education which of quality as well as excellence. The University has a world class infrastructure for the same.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should have a MA in the respective language/discipline with a minimum aggregate of 55%. For Education candidate should have done MA as well as M.Ed with atleast 55% aggregate in both the qualifications. Candidates who belong to reservation categories as well as from the defense background are offered relaxation in the above eligibility criterion.
How to Apply:
Candidates can obtain the application form directly from the university campus or download it through the university website www.dravidianuniversity.ac.in. The details regarding the application procedure will be available with the admission notification. Candidates can also earn the application form through post for which they have to forward a requisite letter along with a DD, drawn in favor of the Registrar of the Institute and have to also send a stamp of minimal value.

1) University authorities are not yet all responding to our representations
2) Some Research Scholars not yet all coming to the meetings and not yet all paying even the member subscription fee
3) This is the last and final chance for the scholars to fight for justice. Because election code is reaching we can’t do even meetings or momentum for minimum 4 months. We have to wait for the new government.
4) Independence brought by great leaders we are enjoying it. Don’t think like that be a part of JAC. We are the teachers people should learn from us. We are the Role Model for the society. With the above lessons from 45 days baby (JAC). We are giving a serious call on 10th February 2014. On that day all the Research scholars should attended at BUS STAND at sharp 9 am. We are expecting a minimum strength on that of 150. The agenda on that day is to going to the police station for asking permission for HUNGER STRIKE. We will submit our permission letter with the police station and the copy of that we will submit to the university authorities. After representation with the police station we will go for a walk to the university. Now the future of JAC is not in the hands of organizers it is in the hands of Research Scholars. The ball is in your court not in our court. Kindly intimate this to all our Research Scholars. The Elections are reaching as fast as we should speed up with our action. Don’t tell that one scholar will attend on behalf of us. It is not for representation it is a momentum.
5) I want one co-ordinator or team for Tamil brothers. Tamil brothers you please bring the Tamil media inform them in advance send the cell nos to the JAC. I will also talk and invite them on that day.
6) I want one co-ordinator or team for Kannada brothers. Kannada people pleas bring the Kannada media inform them in advance send the cell nos to the JAC. I will also talk and invite them on that day.
7) Kindly work like a team. Nobody will stop us.

It is painfully shocking to hear the news of cancellation of PhD admissions in Dravidian University of the students of which many of them submitted ther thesis one year bacK.
