Anthropology is one of the subjects in which aspiring candidates can take the test of NET. This exam is conducted to test the eligibility of aspiring candidates for lectureship in the subject. The exam, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, is also the eligibility test for the Junior Research Fellowship. Two papers are there on the subject of Anthropology. Paper II of the subject is an objective type exam and paper Iii is a conventional exam of 200 marks. Here we give the pattern of paper II.

Paper II of Anthropology is a 100 marks test, with 50 questions. The questions are all multiple choice type ones. There are four optional answers given with each question. Students have to mark their answer on the OMR answer sheet. Questions can be expected to be of the true/false types, assertion-reason types and matching column types. Each question is of two marks. There is no negative marking for wrong answers, so all the questions should be attempted. However, multiple answers will be treated as wrong answers, and no marks will be awarded for the same. The time given to take the test is one hour and fifteen minutes.
