Pattern of PTU CET:

The pattern of the examination is quite similar to the other aptitude tests for seeking to different undergraduate engineering courses across India. You need to have a thorough knowledge of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects based on the syllabi of classes 11 and 12.

Eligibility for PTU CET:

For eligibility for 85% seats category candidates, he/she should be a resident of Punjab State in terms of Punjab Govt., Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PP II Branch) letter no.1/3/95-3PP II/9619 dated 6th June 1996 and letter no. 1/3/95-3PP II / 81 dated 1st Jan 1999

Candidates should also submit a certificate in the prescribed format from the principal or head of the institution in which he/she completed the 10+2 or 10+1 examination as a regular candidate stating that he/she is a completed the course in this recognized institution located in the state of Punjab. The respective eligibility criteria of the candidates will decide about the admission of the candidates to different universities.

Even, candidates who are in the completion stage of the qualifying examination can also apply to the PTU CET examination. But, admission will be offered to these candidates only on provisional basis and will get cancelled, if they do not produce their course completion certificate during counseling.
