How To Prepare For Written Admission Test?

The Written Admission Test is the combined entrance exam carried out by the Army Welfare Education Organisation. This written exam is for the admission into different professional degree courses that include fashion, law, dental sciences, hotel management, education and engineering. These courses are offered by renowned Indian Army Institutes. The candidate should have completed higher secondary exam to attend this test. A large number of candidates appear for this test every year. The candidates are selected on the basis of written exam and personal interview. The Written Admission Test consists of 150 multiple choice questions. The duration of this written exam is 3 hours. The question paper is in English language and there is no minus marking for wrong answers.

Structure of the Exam

The written exam consists of several segments. This includes Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, English, aptitude for teaching test. There is no pre defined syllabus for written admission test. The candidate has to prepare by following the exam pattern and its various sections.

Syllabus of the Exam

The first section consists of reasoning skill questions. The candidate has to analyze about the situation and answer it. The reasoning section comprises of statements and contradiction, passage reasoning and statements, assertion and reason. This section will check candidate’s presence of mind on particular situation. There are many online guides and tests available. They can practice these tests and can improve their knowledge.

English test covers reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and its usage, synonyms, antonyms, etc. The candidate should read lots of books and can improve their language skills. The candidate can practice from online English tests. The General knowledge section covers up all the resent happenings in India and internationally, everyday activities, scientific aspects, etc. The candidate can know about this area by reading newspapers, magazines and watching TV or online news. The fourth section consists of teaching aptitude questions. They have to allot separate time for each section and study this well. Moreover, they should write many mock tests. This will help them to know their preparation level as well they can rectify their mistakes. The candidate should have more confidence on the day of exam. Therefore, they can write their test well.
