Electronic commerce or eCommerce deals with the buying and selling of goods or services by means of electronic systems. The business transactions that are done by other computer networks are also known as eCommerce. The wide spread usage of internet has had a huge impact on the trades. The number of transactions carried out electronically has increased tremendously. eBusiness can be explained as the use of Information & Communication Technologies as to support all business activities.


Electronic Commerce (E Commerce)

The qualification required for individuals to pursue a career in e- commerce is a pass in class 12. There are many correspondence courses and postgraduate courses available for e-commerce. The eligibility criteria for admission into the institutes will change according to their norms. Those candidates who have good computer knowledge will be preferred at the time of admission. Subsequent to their completion of their studies, candidates will get jobs with fields like advertising, customer care services and data management. Some of the other fields where employment opportunities are available for professionals of this field are data mining and marketing.

The basic qualification a student requires to go for a career in electronic Business is a pass in standard 12. There are numerous companies in our country that take in students who have a finished their studies in this field. These firms do their business by way of internet as to improve the business profitability. Electronic chat is a form of e business as it helps the customer care and the customers to int3eract more easily at times when they require help.

Key differentiators between E-Commerce and E-Business

Both e-commerce and e business have a big importance in our society today. While e –commerce deals with the selling as well as purchasing of goods by means of electronic equipments, e- business is concerned with the conduct of business over the internet. In fact, this can be considered to be a broader term than eCommerce as it deals with not only the purchase and sales of goods but also the interaction and service with business partners. Whilst E-commerce covers business dealings, E-business involves the marketing and consumer service evaluation etc.
