Unlike others paper, in which the exam is conducted by the UP Exam Board, the paper of Drawing and Designing carries a fairly importance part and the pattern is what you’d find in the paragraphs to follow. It is always a good practice to know the paper pattern before you actually go ahead and write the paper. It boosts your confidence as well provides you with the basic understanding of how the paper would look like in the first place.

Division of the paper:

The paper of Drawing and Designing is divided into three main parts, Part A, B and C.

Paper Pattern:

Like all of the rest papers, it also has basically a similar pattern. The first part of the paper has comprises of 10 very short answer based questions, and all of the questions are compulsory to attempt. Candidates are expected to answer the questions in a maximum of two or three lines. The second part is a little optional based, and carries 08 different questions, each are short answer based. Candidates are expected to answer any 6. The last part has a total of 3 different Essay answer based questions, and candidates have to attempt any 2.

Markings evaluated by the board:

The total mark of the paper is 60, and the three parts have different marks. The first part has a maximum of 10 marks, the second part has a maximum of 24 marks and the last part carries 16 marks. There are no negative marking in the paper, as per declared by the board.

Time allotted for the examination:

The total time offered by the board to complete the exam is three hours.
