Vidyasagar Foundation School of Education and Training was set up in the year 2008. The institution is controlled and managed by Vidyasagar Foundation Trust and it is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The institution is affiliated to Burdwan University, West Bengal and it runs successfully for catering the need of the backward and middle-class people of the State of West Bengal.

Vidyasagar Foundation School of Education and Training offers quality education through dedicated and talented teachers and excellent infrastructural facilities. The main objectives of the Vidyasagar Foundation is to carry forward the ideals of Vidyasagar in respect of education, social values and development, to carry on and provide educational institutions teachers’ training college and vocational training centers, and to promote special programme for welfare of the women.

The Vidyasagar Foundation has plans to establish Teachers Training Institute for Girls, Vocational Education Center, Automobile Training Center and Nursing Training Institute in future.

Courses offered:

Vidyasagar Foundation School of Education and Training offers the undergraduate B. Ed course. The duration of the course is one year.

Eligibility criteria for getting admission:

Candidates who have successfully completed their graduation from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for B. Ed course. Admission for the B. Ed course is done based on merit in the qualifying examination as per the policy of the West Bengal State Government.

Infrastructure:

Vidyasagar Foundation School of Education and Training has excellent infrastructure with all basic facilities such as labs, library, hostel, medical aid, playground, and canteen.

The library of the college has separate reference section/ Journal section and reading room. It equips rich collection of nursing books, national & international journals, and magazines.
